Healthier for Baby: Cloth diapers are typically made from natural fibers, reducing the likelihood of diaper rash and irritation. They are free from the chemicals often found in disposables.
Breathability: Cloth diapers allow for better airflow, helping to keep your baby’s skin dry and comfortable. This can be especially beneficial in warmer weather.
Custom Fit: Many cloth diapers come with adjustable features, allowing for a snug fit that grows with your baby, enhancing comfort and effectiveness.
Fewer Chemicals: Cloth diapers don’t contain the additives, fragrances, and gels found in many disposable diapers, making them a safer option for sensitive skin.
Learning Opportunity: Using cloth diapers can encourage a greater awareness of waste and sustainability, providing a valuable lesson in environmental responsibility for families.

Caring for cloth diapers properly is essential to ensure their longevity, effectiveness, and hygiene. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to care for them:
Prepping New Diapers
Wash Before Use: New cloth diapers should be washed before first use to increase absorbency. “I have took care of that for you with my Handmade diapers that i make”.
Daily Routine Change Frequently
Change your baby’s cloth diaper every 2-3 hours, or as soon as it feels wet. This helps prevent rashes and discomfort.
Store Used Diapers Properly: Store soiled diapers in a wet bag or diaper pail lined with a washable liner. I like to rinse after every used diaper and i throw in my washer till i’m ready to do a decent size load.
Avoid soaking them in water, as this can lead to mildew.
Washing
Initial Rinse: Start with a cold rinse to remove any solids and rinse away urine. This helps prevent stains and odor.
Main Wash: Use a warm cycle with a gentle detergent we use Tide Free & Gentle here.
Avoid using fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh detergents, as they can affect absorbency. “I use Tide free and Clear. Don’t over do your detergent its not going to clear it “much better”. Get a pool strip tester for your water. If you have hard water use less then the recommended amount on the detergent insrtuctions.
Extra Rinse Cycle: After the main wash, run an extra rinse cycle to ensure all detergent is removed, which helps prevent buildup.
Drying
Air Dry: If possible, air drying is best for prolonging the life of your cloth diapers. Hang them in a sunny spot to help sanitize and remove stains.
Tumble Drying: If you use a dryer, set it to low heat. High heat can damage the elastic and waterproofing things like PUL in diaper covers.
Maintenance
Stain Removal: For stains, you can sun-dry diapers to naturally bleach them. Alternatively, use a gentle stain remover that’s safe for fabrics.
Use RLR for a complete reset for you diapers. I like to use RLR every month just so they stay fresh.
Special Considerations
Nighttime Diapers: For overnight use, consider using extra absorbent inserts or a fitted diaper to ensure your baby stays dry throughout the night. We sell stay dry liners “AWJ Liners” to keep your baby from feeling wet.
Traveling: Use a wet bag for soiled diapers when you’re on the go. They’re waterproof and help contain the stink.
Avoid Common Mistakes Reminder
Don’t Use Fabric Softeners: These can coat the fibers, reducing absorbency.
Avoid Chlorine Bleach: It can break down the fibers and affect the waterproof barrier in diaper covers.
Storing Clean Diapers
Keep Them Dry: Store clean diapers in a dry, cool place until you’re ready to use them.
Following these care tips will help you keep your cloth diapers in great condition, ensuring they are effective and comfortable for your baby all day long!

Exceptional Absorbency: Bamboo fibers can absorb up to three times their weight in moisture, making them highly effective for keeping your baby dry. This absorbency helps reduce leaks and keeps your baby comfortable.
2. Soft and Gentle: Bamboo fabric is incredibly soft, which is perfect for sensitive baby skin. It helps minimize the risk of rashes and irritation, making it a gentle choice for diapering.
3. Breathable Material: Bamboo allows for good airflow, helping to regulate temperature and reduce the likelihood of overheating. This breathability is especially beneficial during warm weather or for active babies.
4. Hypoallergenic Properties: Bamboo is naturally hypoallergenic, making it ideal for babies with sensitive skin or allergies. It’s less likely to cause allergic reactions compared to synthetic materials.
5. Antimicrobial Features: Bamboo has natural antimicrobial properties, which help to reduce odors and keep the fabric fresher for longer. This is especially advantageous for cloth diapers, which can develop unpleasant smells if not cared for properly.
6. Eco-Friendly: Bamboo is a sustainable resource that grows quickly and requires minimal water and pesticides. Choosing bamboo fabric for cloth diapers supports environmentally friendly practices.
Bamboo fabric is a fantastic choice for cloth diapering, combining softness, absorbency, and eco-friendliness. Its natural properties make it a safe and comfortable option for babies, providing parents with peace of mind. If you’re considering cloth diapers, bamboo is definitely worth exploring!

What do I do? I go outside in the grass and spray the poopy with a pressure hose. It gets most of it out. Then I toss the cloth diaper in the washer on cold and sun the diaper if it’s necessary. The Stains didn’t come off after washing? Put some Lemon on it while wet and repeat sun process.
